Join Our Virtual Wellness Seminar
Gwynedd will be hosting a series of virtual seminars to present content similar to what we teach our students, but with a grown up twist! On Wednesday, February 1 from 7-8:30PM, guest speaker Catherine Steiner-Adair, Ed.D., clinical psychologist, leadership and parenting expert, will discuss the fascinating science around how our digital world has changed teens’ brains, what it means for all aspects of a child’s development and how we can ensure that our children are kind, compassionate, and ethically centered in an age in which one-to-one conversation and engagement has been replaced with Snapchat and texting.
The Wellness Wheel Webinars will focus on topics taught as a part of GMAHS's Wellness Wheel Curriculum. This program provides our students with interactive and engaging lessons that focus on physical and mental health, self-awareness, leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion, and many practical life skills that provide balance—all of which are essential for success at Gwynedd and beyond. |

GMA Awarded for Technology Education
Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School has earned the College Board's AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women's access to AP Computer Science Principles (CSP). This award acknowledges 1,100 schools for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2021-22 school year. Ours is one of only 832 schools to be recognized for achieving this important result in AP CSP. |

|
"Computer science is the source code of our economy and so much of our daily lives," said Trevor Packer, College Board Head of the AP Program. "In the five years since we began the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award, it's been heartening to see schools like Gwynedd welcome so many more young women into this vital field."
We are honored to receive this wonderful recognition and validation that one of the many ways Gwynedd prepares its young women for the careers and leadership opportunities of the future is already making a difference in this world. |
